2011 Sample Summer Camp Weekly Schedule
Regularly scheduled camp periods are normally one week long. Camps begin on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm and end on Saturday morning at 10:00 am. Camps are conducted in English and Chinese. The camp program is designed to improve the student’s English ability and interest in learning English by using activities that appeal to the students.
- Monday night – Russian night
- Tuesday – Mongolian night
- Wednesday – Chinese night
- Thursday – American night
- Friday – Talent show
Sample Summer Camp Daily Schedule
6:30 am – Rise and Shine!
8:00 am – Breakfast
9:00 am – Morning Rally: songs, short videos, announcements
9:30 am – Small groups
11:00 am – Team sports: soccer, baseball, football, volleyball
12:00 pm – Lunch
1:00 pm – Rest time in yurts
2:30 pm – Horseback riding, camel riding, rafting, orienteering, cross country cycling, low ropes
4:30 pm – Free time: basketball, carpet ball, ping pong, handcrafts, free talk, relax
5:30 pm – Dinner
7:00 pm – Evening Rally: songs, skits, movies, cultural activities, bonfire
8:45 pm – Yurt time, get ready for bed
10:00 pm – Lights out!

Camps for Chinese Nationals
- English language youth camps specifically designed to improve student’s oral English and motivation to study English through sports, music, drama, and handcraft activities.
- Intensive business English designed to prepare businessmen to go abroad.
- Intensive English language acquisition camps which feature a high native-English teacher to student ratio in an environment which encourages students to interact exclusively in English.
- Camps specifically designed to prepare students for “key university” oral English entrance examinations.
- One-on-one tutoring in English by native English speakers (limited enrollement)
- Environmental camps featuring flora and fauna of Mongolia, Siberia, and Northeast China. The “web of life” is explained and demonstrated. Includes nature walks and river rafting.

Camps for Overseas Chinese (and others who are deeply interested in Chinese language, history, and culture)
- Mandarin language and Chinese culture camps feature interaction with native Chinese speakers and lectures about Chinese history and culture.
Camps for Everyone
- River rafting camps include overnight trips on the beautiful Gen River of Eerguna
- Basketball and soccer camps featuring overseas basketball and soccer coaches and teams.
- Challenge “high ropes” courses designed to improve your company’s or organization’s team dynamics.
- Introduction to Mongolian language and culture including cultural performances, food, films and lectures about Mongolian history. Inludes a trip to a Mongolian “Nadamu”
- Introduction to Chinese language and culture including cultural performances, food, films and lectures about Chinese history and philosophy.
- Introduction to Russian language and culture, including a trip to a Chinese Russian village in Eerguna
- Family camp – activities and outings designed for the whole family to enjoy. Hiking, rafting, sports, movies, cultural events.
- Photography workshops featuring, landscape, ethnic culture, and camp life themes.
- Snow camps featuring skiing, tobogganing, tubing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, and warm and cozy indoor activities.
